Initial Consultation

We begin with a thoughtful conversation to understand your family, your priorities, and the level of care responsibility you’re navigating. This is not a rushed intake. It’s a space to clarify what you need, what matters most to you, and where steadiness would make the greatest difference.

Bespoke Placement

Based on our conversation, we identify caregivers whose experience, approach, and temperament align with your family’s needs and values. We look beyond availability or credentials alone prioritizing long-term fit, compatibility, and continuity.

Supported Transition

Once a match is selected, we guide the onboarding process with care and clarity. We support communication, expectations, and transitions so that care begins smoothly and confidently for both families and caregivers.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. Most placements begin with a short trial period so both your family and the caregiver can confirm the fit feels right.

Trial length varies by service, but typically ranges from a few days to two weeks. This allows time to align on routines, communication style, and expectations before moving forward long-term.

We take time to understand your family, thoughtfully match you with the right specialist, and remain involved after placement. Families work directly with Cedar Care for coordination, billing, and ongoing support, creating continuity, accountability, and steadiness over time.

Many families come to us specifically for a more personal, relationship-led approach to nanny care, newborn care, and night support in New York City.
